Artisan's Textiles:

This typical Argentine textiles are made with several types of wools(Fibers): sheep, vicuña, llama, alpaca and guanaco’s.

The first step in the confection of a poncho is removing the fat/grease from the wool, and after dyeing it, continuing with the fat elimination. According to the part of the body from where the wool was taken the color and quality changes.
In Antique times, the tinctures were taken from trees and fruits, plants and bushes, obtaining an incredible result because of their resistance to time ( much more than modern anilines). Nowadays, craftsmen are the only ones that still conserve this way of dyeing.
